Slow flow, nourishing breathwork, centering, becoming present with ourselves and on the mat, creating space in our body, and finding overall deliciousness in the practice... welcome to my kind of yoga :)
My influences are Hatha and Vinyasa. There is stillness and there is flow. There is gentleness and there is strength. There is also a lot of love, care, and laughter... and every once in a while a little wiggle.
My intention is to guide you in connecting with your consciousness for a moment of self-care, self-love and inner peace. In harmonizing movement and breath, we create space within us and recover range of movement and breath... in turn feeling lighter and better physically, emotionally and mentally.
I discovered yoga in 2010 when looking for ways to alleviate the semi-chronic pain I have been living with since being in a road accident in 2008 and also experiencing crippling cyclical pain from endometriosis. Yoga gave me a breather and helped me bring oxygen and mobility to my constantly hard-working body.
Yoga is crucial to my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. My energy and body’s natural reflex is to curl inward to protect themselves. Given that this is not beneficial in the long run, I seek to create openness and fluidity in my practice and to work on alignment to find an overall sense of harmony within and relieve my discomforts.
During my first career in corporate, I experienced two burn-outs - and chronic postural pain due to long hours spent sitting in front of a screen.
As a sports lover, numerous injuries have added pressure on my muscles and joints over the years.
All these experiences have contributed to the development of my empathy and desire to help others. They have also formed the foundations of my yoga (and massage) practice, which I love to share in a blissful moment of holistic well-being.
Being a positive psychology and life coach, I may at times weave in empowering thoughts, tools and moments to elevate self-awareness and emotional self-management.
Being able to curate a yoga practice to where you are in your life at this moment in time from so many different influences is a real treat and passion. Simply put, it really is... delicious.
